Why do I have to share my GPS location with OTO?
OTO uses your camera to enable vehicle unlocking via QR code. We also request that some riders submit a photo of their vehicle after a vehicle to ensure that it is parked correctly.
Why do I have to give camera access to OTO?
We request camera-access to enable the unlocking of the scooter via QR code.
Why do I have to give Personal Documents to OTO?
How secured my data to OTO?
OTO takes our riders’ data and privacy very seriously. We DON’T sell rider data to third-party recipients, and a subpoena or other lawful process is required to access rider data in compliance with legal obligations. To find out more please read our Privacy Statement.
Is OTO safe?
There are always risks with any mode of transportation, but bike share is relatively safe. The sturdy-framed bikes are durable and comfortable. Each bicycle comes with a bell and its color is yellow. The bike is easily seen by cars and other cyclists. All of these features, along with riders staying alert, reduce the chance of an accident.
What is a pre-ride safety check? Is there anything I should do before starting a ride?
A pre-ride safety check involves a quick 3-step process to ensure your OTO bike is in good working order:
- Pump the hand brakes manually to ensure they are fine/ Press the brakes to check the resistance
- Check tires to verify they are undamaged/inflated
- Visually inspect body of the bike for cracks or other structural damage
- Adjust the seat for your height
- Ring the bell to make sure it is functioning
Are helmets required for riders/ Do I have to wear a helmet?
While helmet law isn’t followed strictly, OTO recommends riders wear a helmet at all times. We strongly advise wearing a helmet. Please ride safely and respectfully.
How can I install OTO?
To download the OTO app Click here or simply search for “OTO Scooter” in the App Store or at Google Play.
How do I find a OTO Scooter/Bicycle?
When you open the OTO app to the map page, you can see the OTO Bike and Scooters located nearby. If you cannot see your location pin, there is a button on the bottom right of the screen that will re-calibrate your location.
Click on a OTO nearby to see how far away it is. You can also reserve the bike for up to 15 minutes to give you time to locate it!

If you reserve a OTO, the App will display directions to help you find it. When you are nearby you may also 'ring' the OTO to easily tell it apart from others.
The OTO’s reported location system might be influenced by your surroundings, therefore its actual location may be slightly different from what is shown in the app. Even if you have reserved a OTO you will be able to open another OTO with your app. So if you see a OTO you'd like to ride, hop on!
How do I unlock a OTO?
To unlock your OTO, open the OTO app and scan the QR code using your phone’s camera or enter the 6-digit code that’s below the QR code.
How do I start riding a OTO?
To start, step on the scooter with one foot and push off with the other to start moving. Put your other foot on the footrest to hold a stable position, then press the right-hand throttle to speed up.
Note: To turn, shift your body weight and turn the handle slightly.
How do I slow down and brake with OTO?
To slow down and brake, push hand brake to slow down or press down on the foot brake to stop.
Can I park without ending the ride?
Nope. You have to end the ride before parking the bike. Otherwise charge will be added for each minute till ending the ride.
How do I end the ride?
Before ending the ride, make sure your OTO is parked in an accessible parking area and that it is not blocking sidewalks, public roads or garages. Then just tap “End Ride” in the app.
Who can use OTO?
Anyone older than 13 years with an Android smartphone or iPhone.
What is the maximum speed?
OTO Scooter can speed up to 25 km/h.
Where can I ride OTO?
On your map you will be able to see operating area geofence. If you get out of the geofence than you might will get penalty it. Show Respect on OTO Rules.
What about the helmet?
We strongly advise wearing a helmet. Please ride safely and respectfully.Show respect on Bangladesh Traffic law.
What should I do before I start the ride?
Before you start riding your OTO, there’s a verification process that you should follow to ensure everything is working properly:
- Verify the brakes
- Verify lights
- Verify tires
- Verify if the OTO is damaged

How many people can ride the same OTO?
Each OTO is exclusively for one person. The electric scooters are not built for being used for more than one person (max. weight: 100 kg).
Can I ride a OTO in any weather?
It’s safe to drive OTO even when it’s raining, as long as it’s not heavy rain or weather that limits the driver's vision. Please be aware of slippery roads and bike lanes.
Where can I park OTO?
You can park anywhere, as long as the OTO is parked in an accessible area, doesn’t block sidewalks, public roads or garages.
What should I also pay attention to?
Don’t ride over speed bumps, thresholds, or other bumps at high speed. Watch your speed when traveling downhill. Use both brakes together when traveling at high speed.
Don’t press the throttle when walking with the scooter.
Don’t rotate the handle violently while driving at high speed.
Don’t ride through puddles or other bodies of water deeper than 2 cm.
Don’t take your hands off the handlebar while riding.
Do not ride with one hand only.
Don’t ride up and down stairs or jump over obstacles. Don’t text and OTO.
What should I do if my OTO runs out of battery?
Stop the OTO and tap “End Ride” in the app. Then find a new OTO nearby and start a new ride. Do not try to charge a OTO, only our certified agents can and know how to do it.
Do I need to pay to download the OTO app?
No, it’s totally free.
How do I check my ride history?
You can always see your ride history in Home > Tap on Menu bar> Histories.
What should I do in case of an accident?
If you are involved in an accident that has caused physical injury to you, other persons or your OTO, contact the support center at help@rideOTO.com. If you have a serious accident contact the local emergency number 112. After you are in a safe condition and have contacted local authorities, contact us at +351 308 810 140.
WHAT IF I WANT TO KEEP A BIKE ALL DAY OR LONGER?
OTO Bike/Scooter is designed for short trips and letting other you to use the bikes/Scooters when you do not need one. By checking the bike back in when you are not riding it, you avoid usage fees, don’t have to worry about locking the bike, and allow others to use the bike. If you want a bike all day or multiple days, we recommend contacting one of our local bike rental companies.
How can i check Balance?
You may check your account balance in your profile at any time.
How much do I have to pay to ride OTO?
Not Much! Pay as you go' rides are calculated depending on the amount of time you ride. Our pricing starts from 5TK to unlock the OTO 1TK for every minute you're riding.
How do I pay?
You have to refill your account from OTO Authorised Agent. Min Refill Amount is: 50 TK. Max Refill Amount is: 2000 TK.
Who is OTO agent?
Our employees who is working for OTO, are agents. You will see them in different OTO stores or recharge points. They solve any existing problem the riders are facing.

What should I do if I think an amount is wrong?
If you find an incorrect amount, contact us directly at support@otoride.com. OTO support team will review your bill and will adjust if needed.
Difficult Unlocking:
If you are having trouble unlocking a OTO, please ensure your phone has a data connection.
The OTO may be reserved by another user or might have been reported for repair, in which case, simply unlock another OTO.
If you are still unable to unlock a bike, please report the issue to your local support team. This can be done directly in-app, by clicking the bottom left icon, or via the contact details listed on the bike.
Difficulty Ending Trip :
OTO Bike
Please make sure to manually close the lock at the end of every trip. Listen for one beep to confirm and check that the trip has ended in your app before leaving the OTO.
If the trip doesn't end after locking, please report the issue directly in-app or Call directly from the App. It helps if you are able to attach a photo of the closed lock. Our team will then be able to end the trip on your behalf.
What should I do if my bike gets lost or stolen?
Riders are responsible for their bikes from the time they unlock them from a dock until they lock them in a dock after a ride. If your bicycle is stolen while it is checked out, contact us. Riders may be responsible for the fee of recovery or replace of the bike.
What should I do if my bike’s lock is broken?
Contact us as soon as possible. Any extra usage, damage, or lost bike will be your responsibility before you report as per.
What is OTO point?
OTO points is used to maintain and encourage good behaviours for joining green initiatives among OTO Riders. If OTO Points reduced to Zero or get negative, you will no longer will be able to use OTO.
Good Behaviours:
- Complete a Trip = +1
- Report broken bike = +2
- Report illegal parking = +3
- Share your ride = +1
- Park in preferred area = + 1
Poor Behaviours
- Parking Outside of Geo Fence = - 50
- Parking illegally = - 40
- Damaging a bike = Reduced to 0

How much does it cost to bring OTO to my area?
Zero. OTO incorporates easily into cities' existing transportation model and greatly reduces carbon footprints.
